Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! I couldn't believe how busy we were on December 28th. We had one person in after the next all day long! It was great. And everyone had their mind on one singular focus- building their new home this year!

If you too are thinking this is the year- to stop renting or to finally build your dream home and get out of your drafty old one, this is the perfect time to start.

Our next home building seminar is scheduled for the end of January- you can get updates in the office or on the web. But save the date of January 28th.

And on the website there is a great timeline to help keep you on track if you are trying to take advantage of the federal housing tax credit which will expire in June. We cannot impress on you that NOW is really the time to start!

Thank you for your continued trust, we look forward to earning your business!

Christmas puppies

Eric & MIchelle -

Thank you so very much for the lovely Christmas ornament! This is such a very special Christmas for us - our first one in our new dream house and the house looks amazing with all the holiday decorations. We wouldn't be here without all your help and we appreciate all you have done for us more than we can express :-)

Here's a cute picture of our 5 goldens arranged around the hearth & woodstove we constructed under the chimney chase; we had just come in from a walk and the dogs all took up spots around the woodstove to warm up - are they spoiled or what . You can see how much they appreciate the new house too :-)

It's nice to be appreciated.

I know for me the holidays are always a time to reflect on the year and count my blessings. I guess I am not unique in that, as we have received sooo many nice cards this week from clients we have built homes for- some this year, some many years ago.

Doing a good job, and building a nice home should be reward in and of itself, but I have to admit it is nice to know that our efforts are appreciated.

And for that, I thank you everyone :)

Cookie Day

Every year, as a tradition passed down from my mom and Aunt Judy, I make tons of Christmas cookies for my friends, co-workers and neighbors. A little holiday treat from my heart to their tummy.

One of the most rewarding parts of my job is helping families create new traditions of their own in their brand new home. From hanging stockings on your new fireplace, to roasting marshmallows in your chiminea, we are honored to be part of a chapter in your life.

Happy, happy holidays to you and yours.

Let it snow!

Well we got our first substantial snow of the year today. I have to give Casey and Christie props for keeping their appointment to discuss their new home- and "crawling" in all the way from Malone.

It was beautiful, but we have become so spoiled with the mild weather that I found myself already grumbling.

The good news is, that we still have a small window of opportunity and if we get your foundation in now, we can continue building over the winter. We need to do things in a different order this time of year- getting the heating system installed and the home up to tempertature before we can do interior finish- but yes it is possible!

If you want to take advantage of the federal housing tax credit, visit our website www.plattsburghhousing.com for a time line so we can help keep you on track.

Happy holidays and enjoy the snow. It is really pretty and puts us in the holiday spirit!
